Wolf Creek Nursing Home in Toledo, OH with Reviews

My mother-in-law is very well taken care of there. They take care of all her and our needs and questions. They have assisted living, also, and a couple of dining rooms, chapel there, a beauty salon, and a community room where somebody on the weekends comes in and plays music.

They have a happy hour where everybody gets together and play games. The facility is extremely clean, and everything is kept up. As soon as something needs attention, they take care of it right away.

Close proximity to hospitals and places of worship can be helpful in evaluating a provider. Lutheran Village At Wolfcreek is a nursing homes facility located in Holland, OH. My husband suffered a traumatic brain injury in early 2015. He was at Wolf Creek Village Nursing home for appx six weeks. The nurses, nurse's aides, therapists, etc. were compassionate, attentive and very professional.

They have lots of activities, they have places where people can do puzzles, and they've got a TV area. They've got things like different things on like every single floor and they have different things available for the residents to participate in. They're currently working on updating some things like people are moving in so they're updating rooms as they're needed. Palliative and hospice care focus on relieving pain and other symptoms to enhance the quality of remaining life by keeping patients as alert and comfortable as possible in a familiar environment with family and friends. She only lasted three weeks, but as far as I could tell, they were very helpful for me every time I called. They were helpful for the family getting them in and just being able to see her. When I went to the place, I was very impressed with it. For having a lot of old folks around, it was extremely clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful, even just seeing how they interacted with the residents. I didn't get into her room and I wasn't able to see her after she got there and get settled in, but my impression of the place was very favorable.

My aunt was a resident of Genacross Lutheran Services nursing care. This community used to be very good but they're not anymore. They could use improvement on the care, leaving somebody on the toilet for 2 hours is ridiculous. The staff members were on their phones, so they were probably too distracted to get to the patient. The physical appearance of the place was very nice, it's clean and it looks great.

The residents that we met there all seemed really happy with everything. We are moving into the ILF, and we have a small apartment -- a two-bedroom, bath and a half apartment. They are versatile in what you really want and need. As for activities, the reason why we are going there was because you are free to do what you want to do.

They have a rehab wing where you can go for short-term care, and then there are people who are living longer term but would need some kind of nursing care or overseeing. They have a nice chapel, nice lobby and social areas, and a nice therapy room, and the people were very warm and welcoming. They do not put these alarms on all individuals; they use the alarm if needed. But they could put alarms on the back of the wheelchair and attached to a person’s shirt, and if they tried to get up then it would just connect because of the magnet attached. They are one of the few that still could put a bed alarm and would still put a bed alarm on if it was necessary to indicate a shift in weight or that the person had left the bed, so that they would come.

She will never be back and I do not recommend this place to anyone with dementia. My mom has moved into Genacross Lutheran Services Wolf Creek. My mom has a bedroom, a bathroom, a nice living room, a microwave, and a small refrigerator.

They not only cared FOR my husband's medical condition, they cared about him and our family! The staff here embraced our family's situation and encouraged and supported us, as well. DO NOT TAKE THEM HERE. My mother had been here for a year and a half. We wanted this to be her home and never have to move her again. As her condition got worse, they said she was too much to handle. When asked how she could get dehydrated the response was, we don't monitor them on how much they drink.
